  • Have a willingness to learn new skills.

  • Create and maintain a Road Safety display.

Pupil Voice
When asked “Why is being a JRSO important?” our current JRSOs said:

“We help people be safe on the roads and raise awareness about this through our assemblies and competitions.”

“JRSOs help children to know important information like needing to wear bright clothes when the nights are dark and needing to look both ways before you cross the road.”
Our JRSOs gathered perceptions from children across the school about the JRSOs and the job they do. Here are a few of the things they said:

“The JRSOs have told me how I can be safe on roads and to look both ways when crossing the road” - Year 1 pupil

“The JRSOs have told me why it is important to wear bright and reflective clothes when it’s dark outside” - Year 4 pupil

“I enjoyed the JRSO design a backpack competition because we were allowed to add our own ideas and use a range of materials” - Year 4 pupil

“I like that the JRSO competition was for everyone to take part in.” - Year 3 pupil
